Steam Engines

Building three is all about Steam and other relevant equipment.

 

Demonstrations of a vertical steam engine during an IIAH event; Close up of a running engine; First whistle toot; Small marine engine and boiler independent setup.  The latter is entirely self-contained and is ideal for taking to schools, showing at exhibits, etc.  In addition to the engines there is a collection of steam gauges, whistles, stem indicators and tachometers.

 

Both the boiler and engine houses have manifolds for connecting equipment.  Visitors are invited to bring their whistles and engines and connect them to the boiler.
